1. Files & PDF Content

SimbaPDF processes files directly in your browser using JavaScript. We do not upload, store, or access your PDF files or personal documents on our servers (unless a specific feature clearly says otherwise).

No file storage: Your PDFs are processed on your device.
No reading your content: We don’t inspect or sell your documents.

2. Information We Collect

Account data: If you create an account (Google or email), we store your email and account identifiers securely via Supabase.
Subscription/payment status: We store order/payment references and subscription status. Payments are processed by PayFast (we do not receive your card details).
Usage data (optional): With your consent, we may collect anonymous analytics (pages visited, performance, feature usage) to improve the service.
Cookies (necessary + optional): We use necessary cookies for core functionality. Optional cookies (analytics/marketing) are only used if you consent.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use information only to:

Provide and secure the website and PDF tools
Manage Pro subscriptions and remove ads for Pro users
Send receipts and service-related notifications (e.g., payment confirmation)
Improve the product (only if you consent to analytics)

5. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate SimbaPDF, such as:

Supabase (authentication & database)
PayFast (payments and transaction confirmation)
Google Analytics (optional analytics, only if you consent)
AdSense (ads on the free plan; configured to respect consent where applicable)

These providers have their own privacy policies and do not receive your PDF content.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect account data. However, no system is 100% secure — we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your account data by contacting us. We do not sell your personal information.
